Overview
Using GetQuotes-IT.com is extremely easy. Simply enter your requirements as a new project and then wait for IT suppliers to quote on your requirements.
Note that a project on GQ-IT refers to any requirement specified by yourself. Even buying a new PC or finding an IT contractor is considered a project in this context.
The basic steps are as follows:
- You enter your requirements using the New Project button.
- We at GQ-IT will check your requirements and if we are satisfied with the content, we will activate it so that IT suppliers can see your project.
- Any IT supplier who feel that they can meet your requirements will place a bid on your request, describing their solution, what it will cost and possibly introduce themselves as a company.
- Again, we at GQ-IT will check the bid and either accept or reject it.
- You then return to GQ-IT and view all bids on your project.
- If a bid catches your attention, you can either reply to the supplier to ask further questions or you can accept the bid.
- On accepting a bid, that supplier's contact details will be made available to you and you can contact them to proceed with the purchase.
- Once a bid is accepted, your project is closed and suppliers can no longer bid on it.
Your contact details are never revealed to IT suppliers or anybody else.
The benefits to you
- This is a quick and easy way to get a number of quotes to compare.
- You don't have to assume that your usual IT supplier has the best solution (or price) for your specific needs.
- Suppliers know that their bids will be compared to others, so they will be more inclined to quote a fair price.
- If you indicate that the supplier needs to be in your city, for buying hardware or something similar where the location is important, you may find IT suppliers in your area that you were not aware of before.
- If the location of the supplier is not important to you such as for designing a web site or writing custom software, you can draw on the skills and resources of IT professionals across the globe.
