NOTE: A project in GetQuotes-IT refers to any requirements you may have. Even buying a new PC or finding an IT contractor is considered a project in this context.
Click on the "New Project" button at the bottom of the window to open the New Project page.
This page allows you to enter your IT requirements on GetQuotes-IT for IT companies to quote on.
Enter the information as per the columns described below and click on the Save button to save your project.
Use the TAB key to move between columns.

| Title |
|
This is a short description of your project and is the first bit of information IT companies will see and will use to decide whether they want to look at further details about your project. The Title is displayed on the All Projects page, which everyone will see. |
| Category |
The category under which the project falls. Choose the most appropriate category. As IT companies may only view the categories they are interested in (by using the Filter function), it is important to place your project in the most appropriate category. |
| Country |
Select your country from the list. If it is not important for the IT company to be in the same country or city as yourself, you may leave country blank. For example, if you are buying a new PC, it would be important for the IT company to be in the same country and city as yourself. However, if you need a website designed or software developed, it may not matter if an IT company on the other side of the globe does the work for you |
| City |
Select your city on the righthand side of the page. The cities will only refresh once you have selected a country and pressed TAB or used the mouse to move away from the Country column. If your city is not displayed in the list, make sure you have selected the correct country, enter your city's name in the City Name column and then click on Add City. If the city is not important to you (as per the description of Country above), you may leave the city blank. |
| Required Start and Required Completion |
Enter the dates you would like the project to start and the date it needs to be completed. All dates on GQIT should be in the format dd/mm/yyyy. If the required start is not important, simply enter tomorrow's date. |
| Country Matters |
Only tick this box if you will only consider IT companies in the country you selected. |
| City Matters |
Only tick this box if you will only consider IT companies in the city you selected. |
| Currency |
Select the currency that you would like IT companies to quote in. If your local currency is not in the list, please use US Dollar. |
| Description |
The description is the large white area below currency. Enter a description of what you require in this box. You may enter a total of 6000 characters in this box and the more detail you give, the more accurate the IT companies' quotes will be. |
