Placing your Project on GetQuotes-IT
To place your project on GQ-IT, register or logon to the site.
The first page you will see on entering the site is the List Projects page.
At the bottom of the page, there are a number of buttons ranging from All Projects on the left to Help on the right.
Click on the New Project button and complete the details of your requirements on the page that opens.
Save the page.
Your requirements will be checked by the GQ-IT staff and should be either accepted or rejected within 24 hours.
Return to the site after 24 hours and click on the My Projects button. Your project will be displayed in this list and the column on the right (named "Bids") will indicate the number of responses to this Project. The first response will always be from GQ-IT to indicate whether the project was accepted or rejected.
If the bids column is greater than 0, click on the Project and then click on the View Bids button. This will open the Bids on Project page, which displays a list of bids and responses to your project. A response is very similar to a bid, but a response is only generated by a supplier if you ask them a question after they have placed a bid on your project. In other words:
- You post a new project,
- the supplier places a bid on your project,
- you respond to the bid (optionally, if you require further information),
- the supplier responds to your question
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you are satisfied with the information from the supplier.
Click on one of the entries in the list and then click on the Details button to view the content of the Bid or Response.
